Well somewhere I have been lost for sometime...poor little blog...well I am back and have decided to post about a new eating style for me. It is called the Paleo Diet, check out www.robbwolf.com for information on it. So far I have been on it for 8 days. I started on July 25 and at the time I weighed 304. This morning I weighed 297...7 pounds lost in 8 days...holy cow. The other side affect is I seem to have more energy and my blood sugar readings are coming down. I have been bad for some time...eating everything..all of it crap. I have been somewhat active. Peggy has out of town friends coming and we have been working around the house so I am getting plenty of exercise. In fact, the front porch really looks nice now. We painted the walls and door and replace the flooring. Tonight I am tackling part of the bathroom wall. I need to finish sanding the wall then paint...hopefully it won't take as long as the floor did last night. I really will be glad when this is done, I want to start riding...hopefully this weekend.

soccer
Wow, had to sit in class all day then take an exam. Soccer referees are required at least 5 hours of class time followed by a 100 question exam every year in order to maintain certification. Kind of a pain but it is always nice to see other refs and talk about situations you have run across during the season.
On another note, I have eaten crappy the last two days...time to get back on the band wagon with eating healthier.

Cycling
Well, thanks to a bike forum friend I found loopd.com. It is a web/blog site for athletes. Thanks to the website, I am now sponsored by linsock.com and the Rudy Project. No free stuff but stuff at a steep discount. I look forward to using some of their equipment.
I also found out that the trainer is just not as motivating as being on the road. I can get the heart rate up but just can't get resistance without getting off the bike and adjusting the trainer...which is kind of a pain. Well off to watch Survivor.

first post
Well so here I am venturing into the world of blogging. Most of my blogs will center around the environment, cycling, and a few other sports that I love. Stand by while I get things up and running....and while I figure all this out.
